Betty Lou Leather is a small leather goods business operating out of Richmond, VA.

. . .

In 2017, Suzanne, a former interior designer, acquired some leather scraps from a local business and started making leather tassels for handbags and key chains as gifts.

Later that year, her daughter, Jen, suggested starting a business to showcase Suzanne’s wares.

Jen attended many festivals and craft shows with the new business and eventually decided to try her hand at making leather jewelry and home accessories. In 2019 the business was re-branded as Betty Lou Leather, with Jen as the primary business owner and operator.

BLL is named after Suzanne's mother and Jen's grandmother who was also an artistic, creative, person and inspired them greatly.

Each item is hand-tooled, cut, painted and created with care and attention to detail. BLL items are made using up-cycled leather scraps, consisting mainly of discontinued furniture samples and cast-offs from designers, making them truly one-of-a-kind and limited!

Custom Orders are always welcome.

Re-Use. Be Unique.
